Kevin Talley specializes in photographing the female athletic form, be it ballet dancers or, as in his latest series, body builders. “I had been asked by a couple of fitness (female) competitors about shooting their photos just before an upcoming show/competition here in Louisville,” explains Talley. “Once I posted a few of them, I was getting several calls from other girls about shooting the same style photos … When you see what these girls go through to get where they are … it is extremely motivating. Fitness is what turned them around.” The reception for “La Femme Physique” will be at Seviche, with chef/owner Anthony Lamas hosting the event. All of the proceeds will go to Dare to Care.
