With a new four-piece band that reimagines her earlier pop songs as throwback rock, or classic-leaning country, Kesha (mostly) puts aside the synths and goes a new direction. According to reviews, it seems she’s mixing those once big, electronic tracks (“We R Who We R,” “Cannibal” and “Tik Tok”) with a variety of covers (Eagles of Death Metal’s “Speaking in Tongues” and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”).
