Kentucky Farm Fest

Kentucky Proud food on the grill, bluegrass bands on the stage and acres of vital farmland everywhere you look. Sound good? If so, you should head to this weekend’s Kentucky Farm Fest, hosted by Oldham KY Tourism & Conventions at “The Maples,” a 20-acre farm in Crestwood. Featuring all aspects of Kentucky agriculture, the festival will offer more than 100 hours of workshops and demos, including homesteading, organics, brewing, distilling and a series on the state’s industrial hemp program led by Adam Watson, who will discuss the return of this heirloom crop to Kentucky Proud farms. Bluegrass bands include Hot Brown Smackdown, Hog Operation, The Moonlight Peddlers, Barefoot Best Friends, Hewn From The Mountain and Whiskey Bent Valley Boys. Free admission for kids under 12 and a whole lineup of kids activities.
