‘Keepers of
the Dream’

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 18, The Kentucky Center’s ArtsReach program is sponsoring “Keepers of the Dream.” The event, hosted by Eve Williams, will include MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech recited by Westerfield Tolbert and the presentation of the Freedom Award by Mayor Greg Fischer. Musical and dance performances include ArtsReach programs from the Chestnut Street YMCA, West End School and Shawnee Arts and Cultural Center. Some of the performers at the event are the Keen Dance Theatre, AMPED and Rickey Reynolds. Prior to “Keepers of the Dream,” the Louisville Leopard Percussionists will play in the Kentucky Center lobby, with the River City Drum Corps performing after the show.
