Learning the intricacies of the Japanese tea ceremony, or chanoyu, can take years, so it’s an honor to have a bona fide tea master perform one. They will prepare and present the traditional powdered green tea, or matcha, used in the ceremony, all while teaching the movements and utensils used during chanoyu. This ceremony takes place in Louisville’s Asian cultural center, Asia Institute – Crane House, which, since April has been home to a Tea in Asia exhibit featuring ceramic artwork by Sebastian Moh. —LEO
