‘January Nocturns’ By Rex Lagerstrom

If only we all had this amount of self-knowledge at an early age. Rex Lagerstrom told his parents when he was 5 years old that he “was going to grow up and be a doctor and a painter. It’s been a bit of a journey since then, but I’ve done the best that I can to live up to that pronouncement.” He’s a retired physician now, but still the artist. Nature is the focus of Lagerstrom’s latest exhibition, as it “[provides] a moment of peace and reflection” in today’s turbulent world.
