Jana John And Rene Rodriguez

One gallery, two solo exhibitions. KORE Gallery is presenting Jana John of Showkitty Pottery’s “Let’s Face It Series,” and, at the same time, “Urban Portraits and Cultural Artifacts, A Photographic Survey” by Rene Rodriguez. John’s first solo show is chock-full of “faces” created from colorful, whimsical ceramic masks and tiles. Rodriguez is showing viewers “disappearing landscapes, places that have value to society today, and their potential to yield stories,” he said. “Some of the places I photographed are no longer with us … [and] some have been beautifully restored after years of neglect.”
