The pandemic stopped, for a time, the beloved memorial. To be able to celebrate someone’s life is a time-honored tradition, especially in the art world. “In Retrospect” is the postponed celebration for local photographer Willi H. Koesters, who died in 2020. The German-born Koesters was a photographer for 40 years; he shot a wide range of work, including photojournalism, portraiture and still life. But he felt there was nothing better than to photograph nature, especially the landscapes of national parks. The exhibition features 19 of his large format photographs.
