#IamPublicArt 2019

#IamPublicArt is a yearly event put on by the Carnegie Center for Art & History to highlight art in action. It features live artist demonstrations as well as hands-on art activities for the public to try. Artists such as Ashley Brossart, Gabrielle Meyer and the Camera Obscura and the Calliope Arts Printmaking Studio will be there, plus more. It will be located on Bank Street between Spring and Market streets before the annual Harvest Homecoming Parade. —Jo Anne Triplett

Jo Anne Triplett is the contributing visual arts editor at LEO Weekly. She’s a past member of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Public Art, was the content advisor on the Glassworks Building video, and has written for Louisville Magazine, Kentucky Homes and Gardens and the national publication Glass Craftsman. Jo Anne came to Louisville from Washington, D.C. where she worked as a researcher and writer for the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
