29th Annual WinterFair! (Dec. 6-7) | Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church
4936 Brownsboro Road | tjuc.org | Free | Times vary
The WinterFair promises to not be “your granny’s church bazaar.” Instead, it features fine arts and crafts at affordable prices from over 80 artists who work with ceramics, wood, mixed media, fiber, photography, sculpture, glass, jewelry and more. There will be food (vegetarian, soups and desserts), a door prize basket and an art raffle containing treasures from the featured artists.
Made Market (Dec. 7) | Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center
1860 Mellwood Ave. | made-market.co | Free | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
If there’s a person in your life whose tastes intersect at trendy and locally-made, the Made Market is where you’re going to find their ideal holiday gift. It features around 80 local artisans specializing in macrame, succulents and home goods you thought only existed on Pinterest. Plus, there will be food and drinks!
Holiday Bazaar & Gift Sale — The Flea Off Market (Dec. 7-8)
Kentucky International Convention Center | 221 S. Fourth St. | thefleaoffmarket.org
Free | Times vary
The Flea Off Market always has a good array of local artisans, food and activities at their many events throughout the year, so you know they have to step it up for the holiday season. And step it up they do. This is probably the biggest holiday market you’ll have the pleasure of attending this season with over 200 vendors selling antiques, crafts, art, records, pottery, jewelry, knitwear, leatherwork and even wands. Santa will be there, too, as well as live entertainers.
Rock N Roll $20 Art Show (Dec. 7) | The Butchertown Social | 1601 Story Ave.
Search Facebook | Free | 8 p.m.-midnight
A week before the annual $20 Art Show at Copper & Kings is an indoor art fair with a similar concept — except these gifts will all be rock ‘n’ roll inspired as well as $20. To round out the theme, Louisville rock band Hawks will play at 9 p.m. Featured vendors include John King, Stevee and Michael Tackett. And, hey, before you come, grab a canned good to bring and donate to Kentucky Harvest. (Also, Butchertown Social closes permanently Dec. 8.)—LEO
