Hershey Felder: Beethoven

Hershey Felder is a pianist, actor and playwright most heralded for his theatrical portrayals of classical composers. In this special, streaming performance, Felder takes on Beethoven, from Dr. Gerhard von Breuning’s factual memoir, “Aus dem Schwarzspanierhaus” (Out of the House of Black-Robed Spaniards, Beethoven’s final residence). The performance features many of Beethoven’s most celebrated masterpieces, including, “Moonlight Sonata and Pathétique Sonata to selections from the Fifth and Ninth symphonies, the Emperor Concerto, and selections of chamber music.” Following the show, Felder will present the finalists of the Hershey Felder Presents Arts Prize Competition, and you will be able to vote for the winner, who will receive the $25,000 grand prize.
