‘(((heat)))’ By Letitia Quesenberry

Louisville artist Letitia Quesenberry uses semitransparent materials such as color correction film, resin and beeswax and layers them to create enthralling art. The abstracted forms and symbols she uses in her work hint at the idea of female power and energy, fueled by ideas on invisibility and queer identity. This is the first exhibition in the new, NuLu location of Quappi Projects, a gallery started in 2017 by local artist John Brooks in the Portland neighborhood. —LEO
