The word love gets thrown around a lot these days, but what Carly Johnson (vocalist for I Heart Heart, a Heart tribute band) did is real love. When Johnson found out that her best friend Marisa (a 31-year-old non-smoker) was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, Johnson got her band, and some of Louisville’s greatest musical talent, together with some help from WSFR 107.7 The Eagle to throw a benefit concert for the Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (a patient-driven foundation devoted to eradicating lung cancer 2023). Now that’s love with a capital L, and you better show some Love by showing up to this amazing concert.
