Harvest Homecoming is the quintessential Indiana festival. There are over a week’s worth of activities including a coffin race and a pumpkin chunking competition with homemade trebuchets, but the main draw is from Oct. 11 to Oct. 14 when hundreds of vendors crowd the streets to sell trinkets and some of the best festival food ‘round these parts. Classic bites are the Masonic Temple’s glazed donuts, Edwardsville United Methodist Church’s persimmon pudding and Mom’s Homemade Fudge’s, well, fudge.
