Haim seemed to own 2013, with the buzz surrounding the release of their debut full length, Days Are Gone, for what seemed like months before it came out, and continuing on, since the first large batch of pop-rock catchiness from the trio of sisters delivered. Projecting the sort of precision that comes along with the family band dynamic, but capturing an airy, laid-back pattern that puts them at a crossroads of smart and simple, Haim is an easy band to like because they can unpretentiously cover so much ground, without overcomplicating things.
