Guided Hikes

If you find it hard to force yourself outside in the winter, guided hikes are a nice solution. You’ll have company, as well as an experienced leader to motivate you. No turning back now!

Charlestown State Park  |  12500 State Road 62, Charlestown, Indiana  |  Search Facebook
Free  |  8-10 p.m.
A popular event since 2013, Charlestown State Park’s full moon hikes take you through the Indiana forest. This particular route will be a 2.4-mile, rugged jaunt. Good shoes, a hiking stick and a red flashlight are recommended.

Winter Nature Walk (Jan. 11)
Iroquois Park  |  1080 Amphitheater Road  |  olmstedparks.org  |  $8  |  1-2:30 p.m.
Explore Iroquois park with your feet (by hiking) and your mind (by listening to tour guide Matt Spalding talk about winter tree and plant identification). Afterward, there will be hot cocoa and coffee. Meet at the Play-All Playground near the amphitheater. —LEO

Hike at Tom Sawyer Park (Jan. 11)
E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park  |  louisvillehiking.org  | Free  |  2 p.m.
