Garbage is usually considered bad, although through no fault of its own. It’s the leftovers after we use up all of the good stuff. That’s where Good Garbage comes in. Subtitled “Louisville’s Creative Reuse Center,” the organization gets those leftovers into the hands of creatives who make art. How, you say? A good way to see what can be done is to attend Good Garbage’s inaugural Creative Reuse Art Form Throwdown (CRAFT). The contestants, in two-person teams, will be competing in “craft-off’s,” with the winner selected as the Louisville CRAFT Champion. Hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction are available to the cheering attendees. If you can’t make this event, Good Garbage’s retail reuse store is at 2020 Duncan St.
