The second installment in WFPK’s weekly jazz series that sees different DJs from the station presenting a variety of artists, Live at Lola’s continues with a venerable Kentucky vocalist. Gail Wynters, who has a traditionally brilliant voice, but then you add in the way she turns phrases and twists syllables, which is really unique, and it all adds up to a powerful performance.
