Local graphic designers Ron Jasin and Ryan Patterson utilize fine art concepts in their edgy graphic designs. Both artists create their designs digitally, but hand print their work using traditional tactile techniques. Jasin cut his teeth designing flyers in the early ‘90s Detroit music scene. He is popular for his gig posters under the moniker Madpixel Art & Design. Patterson is best known for his hypnotic collages that utilize punk rip-and-paste with gritty exploitation film poster kitsch. Patterson is also known for his music and visual art for his band Coliseum. The artists’ reception will be on Saturday, March 12 from 6-9 p.m.
