‘From Near and Far: New Painting and Photography by Laura Lee Brown’

Curiosity is one of Laura Lee Brown’s guiding lights. Best known as a community leader and co-founder of the 21c Museum Hotels, Brown is showing her artistic side in the exhibition “From Near and Far.” The series of paintings and photographs from her many travels serve as a way to address her questions about life. “There are so many other ways to live,” states Brown, “and I am curious to see, to learn, to understand. … All of these mysteries whip me around the world like a magnet. … The rush to see what I may have missed quickens as the years pass.” The work is for sale, with the funds going to the International Contemporary Art Foundation founded by Brown and her husband Steve Wilson.
