As the sun descends, the nocturnal world emerges, and the folks over at Jefferson Memorial Forest would like to invite you and all of your hiking chums out to explore it. One of the park’s volunteer naturalists will meet you in the Paul Yost section of the park, and take you on a guided tour through the 2.9 mile-long Coral Ridge Loop. The trail ranges from easy to moderate difficulty and takes you through the upland knobs with stunning views of downtown Louisville in all its sparkling glory (hence the night hike). Red-covered flashlights are welcome, but please no white light (it upsets Slenderman).
