“The Art of Recovery,” directed by Joanna Hay, tells the uplifting story of how the arts in a small Kentucky community have helped people down the road to sobriety. The film focuses primarily on a group of women who, as part of their drug court sentencing, have to attend an art class and express themselves through writing, sculptures, plays and other artistic outlets. The event includes a sound installation piece “If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes.” So come out and watch how art has the ability to heal.
