The Louisville Orchestra is performing two programs during its next Festival of American Music. The first is “Kentucky Spring,” featuring Louisvillian Rachel Grimes’ new folk opera “The Way Forth” and the Louisville Ballet’s “Appalachian Spring” by Aaron Copland. The second program is March 8 and 9. “The Jazz Influence” features two world premieres of works commissioned by the Louisville Orchestra as well as George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” performed by Music Director Teddy Abrams.
