‘Everything You Need To Know About Identifying Mid-Century Modern Architecture* *But Were Afraid To Ask’

Art and architecture love their styles and categories, which is great for art people but often confusing to the uninitiated. Mid-century modern — the middle of which century? What does modern mean? Louisville Modern’s first talk in its new lecture series “Let’s Talk Mod” is here to help. Presented by Cynthia Elmore, Louisville Metro’s historic preservation officer, it will answer your questions on just what constitutes mid-century modern architecture. Locally, Kaden Tower is a well-known example. The lecture is free and open to the public, but registration is required on the Louisville Modern website. —Jo Anne Triplett
