‘The Dot Series’ By Avery Wilder

While artist Avery Wilder has shown portions of “The Dot Series” in pop-up shows around town, his upcoming, solo exhibition is the first time it will be displayed in its entirety. He explained the technical aspect of his art as “emulating traditional printing processes” with “meticulously hand-placed layers of adhesive, translucent vinyl.” He said you might think these are manufactured or created digitally. “Allowing the hand to assemble pictures in the way machines were designed to, ‘The Dot Series’ showcases an unexpected crossover of medium and imagery.” The show is in a pop-up gallery in a refurbished warehouse. It will be open on Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
