Discover The Fossil Beds Hike

We’re going back to the Stone Age. Follow a park naturalist from the Falls of the Ohio State Park as they guide you through the history of Devonian marine fossils. Wear your hiking boots and meet on the deck to see how these nearly 400 million-year-old fossils were preserved. The park will provide a free fossil brochure for the event so you’re sure to be the next Barnum Brown (who discovered the T-Rex). Come early or stick around after the hike to visit the George Rogers Clark cabin 10 to 4 p.m. Join another fossil bed hike on Thursday or Sunday at 1 p.m. —Ysabella Leon
