Corn Island Storytelling Festival

For those who love a good yarn, the Corn Island Storytelling Festival is your gateway to a world of new experiences. The Blackacre State Nature Preserve and Homestead society has partnered with the University of Louisville for a day of incredible tales with a lineup of local and national storytellers like Roberta Brown, Bob Sanders and the Troubadors of Divine Bliss. Additionally, the National American Indian Association will be on hand to offer dancing, drumming and the robust storytelling of the Cherokee, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota and Sioux nations. This is the kind of event that will inspire its own stories for folks of all ages and the sort that kids will remember and pass on to future generations all their own. And it’s all in an historic log barn!
