Louisville Ballet’s performance of “Cleopatra: Queen of Kings” is sure to be an entertaining way to learn more about this Egyptian empress. The performance blends elements from Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” and “Antony & Cleopatra” with facts from historical scholarship. Dancers will not just be en pointe either, award-winning step dancers from Western Middle School will join the outdoor performance. The two-act show features a score composed by acclaimed Kentucky composer Scott Moore and choreography from Erica De La O. —Emma Rubin
