With soaring, energetic guitar hooks, a punk-loving rhythm section and attitude-driven vocals, Nashville’s Chrome Pony mixes unfiltered garage rock aesthetics with a swirl of ‘70s psych, ‘60s pop and fuzzy grunge. Led by brothers Tyler and Kyle Davis, the band’s songs generally hit hard and get out quickly, leaving little room for drawn-out filler before moving on to the next idea. It’s big and fun and smart and savvy — and a great way to recapture the energy that the holiday’s drained out of you.
