Christmastide, 1816

Ah, Christmastime 1816. Electric heat didn’t exist, and if you dragged a tree into your home, you were crazy, not festive, but it was still merry and bright… At least it will be at the historic Locust Grove home where the Croghan family has invited you to their holiday party at their stately home. And what a shindig it will be: music, dancing, old-timey art demonstrations and refreshments. First-Person Interpreters (informed actors, basically) will interact with you and show you their feast preparations. Wares from the artists and “gift-quality” books also will be on sale.

SATURDAY, DEC. 8
