Staff Pick: Celebrate Spring At Bernheim

Spring Break Adventure Week (April 5–7)
Free | 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Spring Break is here, and Bernheim has a ton of drop-in fun for everyone this weekend. There are the hands-on discovery stations featuring a variety of plant, animal and nature activities; tours of the fire tower; and guided hikes. Guided hikes take place from 2-3 p.m., and for groups of six or more, registration is required at least 48 hours in advance.

Honeybee Hive Installation (April 7)
Free | 2-3 p.m.
The Bernheim beekeepers are welcoming 10,000 honeybees to their new home this Saturday. And you can view the move-in from the safety of Bernheim’s Wildlife Viewing Room. Beekeepers will guide visitors through the installation process and, as they put it, “provide the fascinating buzz about beekeeping efforts at Bernheim.” The program is weather dependent, and arrive early since the viewing room tends to fill quickly.
