You don’t have to be a superhero to run (or walk) in support of these superheroes. CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates — trains community volunteers to be the voice for abused and neglected children in Family Court. In this region, which covers Jefferson, Henry, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties, there are some 3,200 children mixed up in Family Court and in need of a stable, adult presence to help represent their best interests. These volunteers are the true superheroes. Please consider spending a Saturday morning run, or walk, in support.
