Carole Logan believes painting can be a form of interaction, an in-person conversation between the artist, art and viewer. As a result, she’s not one to spend the bulk of her time alone in the studio. “Painting on location is necessary for me to give the viewer a sense of time and place,” she states. “I love talking with passers by and hearing their encouraging comments. It is always fun meeting people who appreciate what artists are creating.” With her lifetime interest in art, Logan’s had some great opportunities, including being commissioned by 21c Museum Hotel. The Louisville Development Authority also asked her to do a painting of Main Street as a retirement present for former Mayor Jerry Abramson.
