C.S. Lewis: The Screwtape Letters

In C.S. Lewis’s acclaimed novel “The Screwtape Letters,” Satan’s chief psychiatrist Screwtape tries to entice the human known simply as “patient” down the “soft, gentle path to hell.” Now imagine that sentence realized live on stage, scaly blue demons and all. A provocative and wickedly funny look at “spiritual warfare” through the eyes of demons. This adaptation stays true to its Christian apologetic roots, but with mesmerizing performances by Brent Harris (who plays Screwtape). This play will certainly leave Christians with much to discuss, and theatre goers with much to praise.
