‘Bridges’
by Robert Halliday

Artist Robert Halliday is a self-proclaimed bridge man. “I’m hooked on the subject and have been working [on Louisville’s bridges] for about two years,” he says. His new series of geometrically based paintings, book and prints come in a variety of media. Although primarily a watercolorist, “Bridges” also includes his photography, digital art and acrylic on canvas works. “The idea behind a piece is a vital element and often determines the approach I take,” states Halliday. “Sometimes the idea is the work itself.” In this case, his musees included the Abraham Lincoln Bridge. Housed within Leslie H. Spetz Custom Picture Framing, the collaborative Kentucky Fine Art Gallery features works by Jaime Corum, Lynn Dunbar, David Schuster and Halliday.
