Brenda Wirth And Mary Newton

Louisville painters Mary Newton and Brenda Wirth are showing their landscape paintings at the less-than-a year-old Kleinhelter Gallery. The eponymous space is a labor of love for painter Ray Kleinhelter. The family-operated gallery is housed in an 1858 Italianate building that the Kleinhelters renovated themselves. “Trees, vegetation, riverbeds, creeks, sky, rocks and their relationship to each other are inspiration for my work,” Wirth said. “I have grown to view the environment as a teacher, and I am fortunate that my surroundings here in the Ohio Valley offer such astounding variety.”
