Braden Center Open House: Celebrating 50 Years!

For 50 years, the Carl Braden Memorial Center has been a home for the city’s social justice community efforts: the Black Panthers, Kentucky Rainbow Coalition, veterans opposing war and people working for LGBTQ civil rights, workers rights and to end police abuse. Help it celebrate its 50th anniversary as it unveils a historical marker that explains how it has evolved since 1969 through the work of city civil rights pioneers Carl and Anne Braden and others in the civil rights movement. It also will serve as a fundraiser for the Braden Center renovation plans and the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression. —LEO
