Modern racism, social and economic inequality as well as de facto segregation still plague this country. Louisville native Anne Braden committed her life to fighting for civil rights and equality as a journalist and in her personal life. We celebrate her life’s work, and remind ourselves of the work that remains unfinished on what would be her 94th birthday. All are welcome to join the celebration, which includes a BBQ cookout and music. Donations benefiting the Braden Center Renovation Campaign are welcome.
