When you put in hours upon hours of studying climbing problems and working on your grip, sometimes it’s nice to just watch two climbers strap on a few crash pads and run into each other for fun. That’s crash pad sumo wrestling, and it’s just one of the activities at Climb NuLu’s Boulder Bash. In addition, there will be slacklining, yard games, a vertical feet challenge, a dyno competition, a potluck, food, beer from Against the Grain, music, a bonfire and massages. This is a member appreciation event, but nonmembers can participate by buying a day pass, which range in price from $10 to $15 depending on age and equipment needed. —LEO
