Chloe Lee Edwards is a talented Bowling Green-based artist who has garnered a reputation for mixing images of the surreal or even macabre with bright lush colors, thereby creating an inherent conflict and paradox at heart of each piece. Stylistically she possesses a crude sophistication that will leave viewers nursing some kind of intellectual vertigo. Born in Bakersfield, California, she has moved all over the country, allowing her work to earn recognition and praise among her peers in every town she’s found herself living. This Saturday she will be premiering her latest collection of pieces at Gallery K with a gathering from 6-11 p.m., during which Edwards will be on hand to discuss her work and this newest set of paintings.
