Scholars from the Parkland Boys and Girls Club and Mizizi Home School Co-Op dress up as some of Louisville’s famous, Black historical figures, turning the Club into a live-character museum for the afternoon. In addition, there will be performances from Malone Step-n-Dance Company, live art, drumming, live braiding from Emma’Lees Transformation Studios’ junior braiders, food, giveaways, raffles and door prizes. The event is free, but if you can, bring donations for the Umoja Project, which provides supplies to Louisville’s homeless population.
