Kentucky is known for its bourbon, but we love our craft beers too, which is why BeerFest is returning to Kroger’s Fest-A-Ville at Waterfront Park. So come downtown, get your free souvenir mug and prepare yourself for the tasting gauntlet. Some of the best regional and national craft brewing companies will be in attendance, such as Blue Moon Brewing Company, Redd’s Apple Ale, Killian’s Irish Red, Leinenkugel’s Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, BBC, Falls City, New Albanian, Cumberland Brews, Rivertown, Thirsty Dog and Highland Brewing Company. Tickets are $45, but with nearly 50 brewing companies, all of which are giving you a free sample of their best stuff, it should be well worth it. And at the end of it all you can go home, drunk and satisfied, and put your souvenir mug on your mantel … to let everyone know you survived the tasting gauntlet.
