The Highlands Beer Festival is Saturday from 3-7 p.m., but for those of us who love beer (especially on Saturdays!), that leaves a lot of uncovered beer drinking time. Bardstown Bound to the rescue! This year, BAR is the emphasis in the annual Bardstown Bound, with a beer bus tour departing from ValuMarket with stops at Dragon King’s Daughter, O’Shea’s Irish Pub, Flat 12, Buckhead’s Mountain Grill and Gordon Biersch. Whether you’re on the bus, or on foot or bike, enjoy the dining and drink specials up and down Bardstown Road. Your ticket includes a keepsake painted can growler, road trip sandwiches by Chef Ellen Gill McCarty and a Highlands Beer Fest wrist band so you can sample from 200 beers when the bus rolls back into the Mid City Mall parking Lot. Proceeds will benefit Apron Inc.
