Abstraction is amazingly thought-provoking and fun, letting you see things in a whole new way. For the exhibition at the Douglass Loop Breadworks, it all started with bread baking trays. The artist, Steve Randall, an employee at the shop, started seeing the trays differently, resulting in a series of abstract photographs. “I believe a surface is imbued with the amount of work put into it,” Randall said, “so these baking trays have a lot to say.”

She’s a past member of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Public Art, was the content advisor on the Glassworks Building video, and has written for Louisville Magazine, Kentucky Homes and Gardens and the national publication Glass Craftsman.
