Help Louisville restore its shrinking tree canopy by planting a tree on campus at noon, or, take home a free, native tree sapling. Over 200 trees of two varieties, Shortleaf Pines and Pawpaws, are available thanks to Louisville Metro’s Division of Community Forestry. You’ll also find tree-themed activities, free locally-grown apples and bike-blender smoothies made with tree fruits and nuts.

Bernheim Forest is celebrating Arbor Day with its annual Adpot-a-Tree event. Guests can choose a tree to plant in the Bernheim landscape and enjoy for years to come. Horticulturists will be on hand to answer any questions and teach everyone proper planting techniques and tree care.
