Louisville Beer Run & Festival  |  Iroquois Park  |  5216 New Cut Road  |  Search Facebook  |  $40-$65  |  11 a.m.

What’s running without a reward system? Every three-fourths of a mile during this 5K, you’ll be treated to a speciality beer sampling, with a 16-ounce brewski at the end, a free glass and a T-shirt. Just don’t spew… or forget to bring your ID to confirm you’re 21 or older. Afterward, the park will open for a free festival with music, food and more drink — all benefiting Olmsted Parks Conservancy.

The Crazy Wine Dash  |  Louisville Waterfront Park  |  129 River Road  |  thecrazywinedash.com
$40-$50  |  12:30-6:30 p.m.

If there’s no way you can run and drink beer, what about wine instead? You won’t get samples during the race, but after, you’ll be treated to a glass of your own and four wine tastings, dependent on whether you choose the 5K run or 1K walk (or a combo). You’ll also get a T-shirt, take-home wine glass and wine bottle opener, and you’ll be invited to the after-party featuring a mechanical bull, DJ, food trucks, a photo booth, giveaways — and more wine. Yoga and Zumba will also be options for those who, understandably, aren’t into jogging.
