West Coast punk scene veterans Agent Orange, who blend frantic and aggressive elements of hardcore with the melodic and strange aspects of surf rock, have built a loyal following through high-energy live shows that have spanned more than 30 years. Blending those sensibilities, it’s not surprising that they were beloved by the skateboarding scene of the ’80s and ’90s. But, what’s interesting to me, is all of the things the band can be at once — angry, catchy, messy, precise, frustrated, apathetic — and they’re all the better for it.
