‘African-American Women: Celebrating Diversity With Art’

In honor of Black History Month, KORE Gallery asked 11 African American women artists to show their work. The subtitle of the exhibition, “celebrating diversity with art,” is the theme of the show. It is indeed diverse: women, African Americans, media (textile, polymer clay, mixed media, paintings in oil and acrylic) and more. The artists are Elmer Lucille Allen, Judy Banks, Sonja Brooks, Sandra Charles, Ramona Lindsey, Tomisha Lovely-Allen, Barbara Tyson Mosley, Toya Northington, LaNia Roberts, Deborah Stanley and Nzingha Beverley Sweeney-Sheppard.
