The art isn’t there to just make the room prettier, but to make a statement. 21c’s current exhibit “Dress Up, Speak Up: Costume and Confrontation” challenges “ideas relating to the past and present and memory and desire.” Likewise, A/Tonal is a Louisville-based ensemble whose music elicits new approaches that challenge traditional thinking. A/Tonal will perform five pieces, each bringing music to a piece in the “Dress Up” exhibit. The music is sure to bring another layer of inspiration to the power of the art.
