Rock To End Homelessness

Winter is when people often start paying attention to Louisville’s homelessness crisis, and it’s also when the Coalition for the Homeless Louisville holds its most memorable fundraisers. This week, there are two, featuring performances from long lists of must-see musicians. Both are at Headliners Music Hall.

Give-a-Jam to End Homelessness (Dec.19)
$25-$75  |  7-11 p.m.

Sixteen acts representing a variety of different styles are on the list for the annual Give-A-Jam concert, including Ben Sollee (multi-talented cellist), Hermanos (latin jazz) and Hot Brown Smackdown (jamgrass). Warm up with different soups and a cash bar, too.

A Blue Christmas Carol (Dec. 22)
$10  |  6-9 p.m.

If you haven’t had enough of good tunes and helping people, 30 musicians and bands are getting together for this show, with The Wulfe Bros. and Jimmy Brown and Ray Rizzo’s Abominable Snowband headlining. —LEO
